Anyways, had fun editing the trailer for THE NINES. Looks a really interesting project and I wish you all the success..

I'll try and catch it in the UK when it's released over here.

Thanks for letting us play with your work, John..

At last! My trailer is done.
It's on the "pure trailer" category
(sorry John, I just can't make a mash up video unless I put up a "standard" trailer first!)

Anyway, here's the link. Hope you like it:

By the waym thanks John for letting us play with your images. The footage quality was really nice. And thanks to the guys that hosted the files in their servers.

  5. Here's my attempt. Haven't seen the movie, but I've been reading John's blog so long, I thought I would toss something in. I'm not an editor so don't hate. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the entries...later.

  6. Here's my valiant effort - I wish I could have gotten to the mash up bit, but I barely had enough time to squeak past with the ahem, 'pure' entry --only so many rendering hours in a day... and I unfortunately only had time to render it once, warts and all...

That said, I would like to thank my mother who made it a point to call unexpectantly several times today to ask me if I was watching said random news channel(i.e. CNN, CSPAN, Larry King) - The three guys that cut me off and stole my parking spot, causing me to drive around for an hour and nearly use up all of the 7.50 worth of gas I splurged for today -- and last but not least Springhill Suites by Marriot(across the street from my apartment), for providing undependable free wifi internet -- after three hours, we got that 7MB file uploaded without (much of) a hitch...

  7. Here's my entry, of the "Pure" variety. A little bit of a tone poem at the beginning, with a change-up halfway through.

This was a blast! Good luck with the film! (And bring it to Atlanta, please...)

Entry for 'pure' category. I wasn't sure if using the titles from the original trailer was ok or not so I just recreated them.

    Hey,

    My entry for zee contest
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kf1KwKG6fIg

My word of the day was "minimal" and the goal was to stay away from the obvious sequences and supernatural/thriller vibe...we'll see. Thanks to John and the support team for putting this together. It was fun.

Ok, I only found out about this yesterday, and only had about 4 hours to work on it, so I made a bare bones teaser trailer to slip in under the wire...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lbv1oJf2WMc

I also forgot to put the name of the movie on the trailer, but it's a little late for that now :)

Here is an entry for the mash-up category: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zaROJNYlCEM

Here's the story: I got home about an hour and a half ago to find John's blog post saying there weren't enough mash-ups. So, with the time available I did what I could. The sound could use some more work, the "plot" is dodgy, and I really wanted to do voiceovers but didn't have the time... so I resorted to text.
It's not my best work, but in all seriousness, what film could possibly be as great as 'The Nines: Party Liaison'?

I will post a direct link when I have it and will also have a higher res version on Stage6...

The official trailer competition deadline has now passed. You're welcome to post a link to your trailer here, but it won't be included in the judging.

Oh crap! I was so delirious when I posted my entry that I didn't see this thread. Stupid question: Is my entry still eligible being that I posted outside this thread?

I sure hope so. Here goes the link again: http://youtube.com/watch?v=e6Q3C7MGH34
